Visitation Supervisor - Spanish Speaking Preferred F/T
The primary job focus is to provide supervision of parents whose children are in foster care, parent coaching and teaching of parenting skills, picking-up and driving children to and from visitation sites using agency vehicle. It is mandatory that individuals have a flexible work scheduled with the ONGOING ability to work afternoon, evening, weekend shifts and occasional holidays. All shifts will vary based on the needs of families.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a valid driver`s license and a good driving record and be able to pass an F.B.I. Background check (both reimbursed by agency after 180 days of employment for the cost of a current Background check). Applicants MUST have past experience in teaching parenting techniques such as Love and Logic, two year experience in working with at-risk families, ability to work with diverse populations, understanding of child development, ability to express authority and consideration, excellent communication skills, understanding of the dynamics related to separation and loss and how that impacts children and their parents, understanding of the laws governing child welfare and experience in a care-giving of children. Will need a minimum of a high school diploma with some college preferred and must be a minimum of 21 years of age due to corporate vehicle insurance requirements. Type a minimum of 10-20 words per minute, have computer and high-speed internet access. 10-20 hours per week.

Benefits

Wage $11.00-$12.00 an hour DOE with an additional $1.00 an hour for fluent Spanish speaking/writing applicants. Part time benefits include self care benefit, vacation/sick leave, free CEU’s, cell phone, office supplies, mileage available, in depth orientation & observation opportunities.
